It is with great sadness that we annouce the passing away of Bobby "Sukhdave" Mahnger. Bobby passed away at Squamish General Hospital on January 3rd/2010 surrounded by friends and family. Bobby's service was held on January 9th at the Squamish Funeral Chapel with a ceremony following at the Sikh Temple. There were over 400 people who came to say their good byes to a man who will be deeply missed and will be thought of often down at the fields at Brennan Park for many years to come.
Bobby brought so much to the soccer community as a father, a friend, a man and last but not least a referree. Bobby was a huge part of getting the Squamish Soccer Association formed and to bringing integrity back to the Soccerfest Tournament. Without him, the tournament would not be what it is today. The family had requested in lieu of flowers etc. that donations could be made to The Canadian Cancer Society in Bobby's memory.
